Reid Park Rose Garden
The Reid Park Rose Garden represents an on-going partnership with The Friends of The Reid Park Rose Garden who volunteer regularly to maintain the landscape. The garden originally opened in 1960 with 232 rose beds. More than 100 species of roses and 800 individual plants are currently maintained in the Rose Garden. It is typically in full bloom in the spring during March and April and in the fall around October and November. More Details.
The Tucson Parks Foundation and the Tucson Parks and Recreation Department need your help to reopen city pools which have been closed since the 2009 City budget reductions. Community and business partnerships along with donated funds will afford additional pools to open for summer swim programs.
In 2012, we were able to raise nearly $100,000 in funds from local businesses and donation sponsorships. With that money six (6) additional pools were opened for the summer. Our goal is to open additional city pools which require an additional $40,000-$60,000 per pool for two months of operation. More Details
