The City of Tucson Parks and Recreation would like to invite you to the 12th Annual Prevention Celebration. Last year this event brought over 1000 people and 60 exhibitors to Freedom Park. It celebrates a healthy community encouraging youth to live Above the Influence of drugs and alcohol. This is the time where the community, including churches and businesses, has an opportunity to visibly give back to the local community who works so hard at volunteer social projects. Organizing partners include the 4R Communities Alliance (formerly the 29th Street Coalition), 29th Street C.A.N. (Community Action Network), Our Family Services Drug Free Communities Program, and the 5 local neighborhood associations (Myers, Roberts, Alvernon Heights, Naylor and Julia Keen).
Everything at the event is free for participants, including games and entertainment, resource exhibits, dinner, jumping castles, a cakewalk, and numerous kid friendly activities. Everyone who attends will be entered into a raffle event promoting local businesses.
