The Northwest Neighborhood Center will host a renaming ceremony in honor of long time resident and employee, Donna R. Liggins. The unveiling of the Center‘s new name is scheduled for Saturday, November 19 at 10 a.m. Mrs. Liggins is being presented with this honor for her dedication and commitment to the neighborhood and their families. She is a 46-year resident and a City of Tucson Parks and Recreation employee of 42 years who recently retired as supervisor of the Northwest Neighborhood Center. Donna continues to be proactive and a committed member to the Center and neighborhood.
Participating in the renaming ceremony will be Karin Uhlich, City of Tucson Vice Mayor and Ward 3 Council Member, Richard Elias, Pima County Board of Supervisors, District 5, Fred H. Gray, Jr., Parks and Recreation Director.
Refreshments follow the renaming ceremony.
